Sumedhanand Saraswati, who contested the election for the third consecutive time on a BJP ticket from Sikar, Rajasthan, faced defeat. He got 586404 votes. Sumedhanand was defeated by CPIM candidate Amararam by 72896 votes. It is worth noting that Sumedhanand had won the Sikar Lok Sabha seat twice in a row. Even Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti could not repeat the feat
Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, who won the Fatehpur seat in Uttar Pradesh in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, has also faced defeat. Lok Sabha Elections Sadhvi got 467129 votes in the election. She was defeated by Naresh Chandra Uttam Patel of Samajwadi Party by 33199 votes. Let us tell you that Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti was made the Minister of Food Processing Industries by the BJP government in the year 2014. At the same time, after winning the election in 2019, she was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Development.
Sakshi Maharaj won Unnao
Sakshi Maharaj, who contested from Unnao Lok Sabha seat for the third time in a row on a BJP ticket, has scored a hat-trick of victories. Sakshi Maharaj got 616133 votes. He defeated Samajwadi Party’s Anu Tandon by 35818 votes. In this way, Sakshi Maharaj is the only Baba left who will be seen in Parliament from BJP’s side.
